My repsonce to ISTD's 2014 'Roots' brief, asking us to '‘re-consider a key historical text of [our] choice froma typographer’s perspective'. My chosen text was the original 1818 text of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (or, the Modern Prometheus).
